Chromotope, The 19th century chromatic turn
Clotilde Ferroud carries out her research in the Genomics, Bioinformatics and Molecular Chemistry Laboratory (EA7528, Director J-F. Zagury) at the CNAM and teaches engineering students in the molecular chemistry and formulation field.
She was director of research at CNAM from 2012 to 2018. She has been vice chair for research of HESAM University since 2016 and vice chair of the Cnam Administration Board. A former PhD student of the former UPMC, her research projects bring together synthetic chemistry, physicochemistry and life sciences. Her main research areas are applied to the pharmaceutical field and deal with photochemistry and the use of dyes as photosensitizers, the design and conception of new contrast agents for medical imaging or the synthesis of anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory molecules. These activities have led to over 85 publications in international journals and numerous communication.
As a key member of the Genomics, Bioinformatics and Molecular Chemistry Laboratory which was formerly the Chair of textile and dyeing chemistry, Clotilde Ferroud will mentor the chemistry graduate student of CHROMOTOPE in his/her work on the CNAM pigment collection kept in the Musée des Arts et Métiers.
